Mark McGroarty

Managing Member - McGroarty Investments, LLC

Mark McGroarty, of McGroarty Investments LLC, is a seasoned, professional and dedicated developer who has successfully completed a wide range of projects that include preserving historical structures and creating beautiful adaptive reuse spaces. His 40+ years of professional experience revolves solely around the real estate industry.

 

Mark started his own business in 1979 focused on the rehabilitation of historic homes in the Victorian Cabbagetown area of Toronto as well as completing multi-family projects that had gone into foreclosure. Since then, Mark has been involved in several historical restorations and adaptive reuse projects in Buffalo, NY, Greensboro and Charlotte, NC, and Toronto, Ontario. Restoring and maintaining historical structures like churches has become a passion of the firm.

 

Mark McGroarty graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University in 1973. He enrolled the following year in McMaster’s Master of Business Administration program.

 

With Carolyn, his wife of 45 years, they have raised five children. He has resided in North or South Carolina for the past 35 years. He currently splits his time between North/South Carolina, New York, and their cottage on Lake Simcoe, Beaverton, ON.

Mark enjoys golf and tennis and just “retired” from playing hockey, his first love. Mark is an active participant in the church and has held various building and finance committee chairs.
