Reverend Miller is an Episcopal priest and author of fiction, poetry, and essays. Before leaving full-time ministry, his career focused on congregational development and helping congregations to re-envision mission and rebuild after periods of decline or conflict. In the course of three long-term tenures in Indianapolis, Columbus, Ohio, and Buffalo, NY, he assisted in the growth of congregations while leading building renovations and, in the case of the latter two, adaptive re-use campaigns for historic and architecturally significant buildings.
In 2013, Miller became a part-time priest serving small congregations in Newport, VT and Geneva, NY while engaging in a professional writing career. In the past six years, his publishing success has included the professional publication of two novels, numerous poems in print anthologies, a soon to be released book of poems and essays, and a weekly newspaper column.
